fresh look
As you can see, the blog has a fresh look for fall! Let us know what you think. In addition, there are a couple new items in the shop.
I've had such a wonderful time creating this series of works on paper. And since returning from the north, I'm feeling newly inspired--more to come!

as the crow flies
While I am finishing up the new jewelry for fall, I thought I would quickly post a few images of some other new work in the shop. There have been a lot of crows in the neighborhood lately, so I've been feeling particularly inspired by them.
This week has been pretty crazy--both Erica and I have a lot of irons in the fire currently, and I think we are both looking forward to a nice peaceful fall. HOWEVER! This next week I will be on vacation in the up up north, so if it can wait to get chilly until I get back that would be lovely. Happy August, all--cherish these last few weeks of summer!

summer time
This summer seems to be just flying by. Luckily, I spent this past weekend slowing down a bit--first at the opening of my solo show at the Newaygo County Council for the Arts in Fremont, Michigan. I had an incredible time at the reception, meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with my own Fremont roots. The gallery staff is incredible, and if you happen to be in Fremont this summer make sure to stop in and check out the over 40 artists that are represented in their gallery (in addition to my show, which will be up through the end of July).
The rest of this weekend has been spent prepping paper for new drawings and updating our etsy shop with some new work. And as soon as I finish typing up this entry, we're headed to Blandford Nature Center for a nice relaxing little hike! Hooray for summer, I am so thankful for these long hot days.

market day!
The Market was an absolute success. We had a fantastic time hanging out, chatting with other vendors, and of course selling some of our goods. We also purchased a couple things as well--both Erica and I went home with a hula hoop (to be continued). Thank you to everyone who came out to support both Three.Bunnies and the Avenue for the Arts--we are so grateful!
There are also a few new items in the shop, and we will be updating frequently over the next month since our next official market isn't until later in the summer.
Cheers!

back to business
After a month long hiatus (finishing up the ol' MFA, finally graduated last Saturday) I'm back in the kitchen cooking up some delicious recipes from the Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. This is definitely my go-to cookbook, and is always at the top of my recommendation list for those looking to make some delicious and healthy meals.
First up, my favorite recipe in the whole book: Cauliflower and Mushroom Pot Pie with Olive Crust.
I could eat this every day. A giant helping of pot pie and a glass of wine=bliss. Next up, on tonight's menu, a Leek and Bean Cassoulet with Biscuits. Another favorite--hearty, warm, and simple, perfect for rainy days.
Now that I've graduated, I've got plenty of time to focus on what's important: eating and crafting. Oh, and finding a job. :)

new art
In case you didn't already know this, my three.bunnies partner is an amazingly talented person. Her talents go beyond her jewelry and toy making. She is also an extraordinary artist and I am happy to say our little apartment is now a whole lot warmer and happier with one of her beautiful paintings hanging in it. Thanks so much Taylor! Please check out more of her great work!

back to school
It's my last first day of school tomorrow... as a student, that is. I'm really excited about this semester, because in addition to putting together my Master of Fine Arts thesis show, Erica and I will be working hard putting together items in our three.bunnies etsy store as well as attending a couple awesome craft events (the details of which we will post later). Erica is knitting away on some beautiful new scarves and cowls, and I've been busy drawing some little pieces for frame necklaces like the one you see above.
We'll also be posting here often--we've got lots of projects coming so stay tuned!

urban lights
Urban lights, the avenue for the arts holiday event, is right around the corner! Join erica and I this friday from 5-10 pm at Store. (the avenue for the arts consignment shop at 117 s. division) for some handmade holiday goodness.
We are super excited to be a part of this event--come see all the lovely things we have for your friends and family this year. There is so much to choose from (that is of course if I don't buy all of erica's cowls first!). After you check out store., head over to 10 Weston for some more awesome artists selling their wares. Lots going on this weekend on the avenue, and you don't want to miss it.
