three.bunnies giveaway!

I am a sucker for free stuff.  Free t-shirt for running 10 miles? Sign me up! I am also a sucker for The Crazy Life!.  three.bunnies decided to partner up with The Crazy Life for a super duper awesome giveaway.  Here's all you have to do: go to the site and leave a comment.  That's it.  You should probably read some posts too but to get free loot all you need to do is share a spooky moment in your life and you are entered into the random drawing.  It's so much easier than running 10 miles, that's for sure!

Meatless Monday

I have found a new love: hummus+pasta.  If you haven't tried this concoction you're in for a treat. I picked up some spicy tomato feta hummus at a specialty store for the sole reason that the cashier told me she likes to mix it in to pasta. She had me at pasta.

This simple meal was just pasta, olive oil, spinach, hummus, and salt and pepper.  Super quick but very gourmet.  Since I don't know if I will be able to get my hands on this luxurious hummus I think a good substitute would be a garlic hummus with diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes or sriracha and feta (omit for a nice vegan treat).

Cheers to new dinners in the rotation!

summer time

This summer seems to be just flying by.  Luckily, I spent this past weekend slowing down a bit--first at the opening of my solo show at the Newaygo County Council for the Arts in Fremont, Michigan.  I had an incredible time at the reception, meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with my own Fremont roots.  The gallery staff is incredible, and if you happen to be in Fremont this summer make sure to stop in and check out the over 40 artists that are represented in their gallery (in addition to my show, which will be up through the end of July).

The rest of this weekend has been spent prepping paper for new drawings and updating our etsy shop with some new work.  And as soon as I finish typing up this entry, we're headed to Blandford Nature Center for a nice relaxing little hike!  Hooray for summer, I am so thankful for these long hot days.
